This elegant venue at 535 S Lindbergh Blvd beckons gourmands and discerning diners alike with its carefully curated menu, where prime cuts and ocean treasures take center stage.

At Kreis’, every dish tells a story of culinary craftsmanship. For steak lovers, the King Cut Prime Rib, served medium rare, stands as a legendary highlight—rich, tender, and deeply flavorful, easily living up to its devoted fanbase. The Ribeye Steak, with its luscious marbling, and the meticulously prepared Filet Mignon, tender and buttery, are testaments to the kitchen’s dedication to quality and technique. For those craving a surf-and-turf adventure, the Odd Couple pairs an 8oz filet with a sumptuous South African lobster tail, offering a harmonious balance of land and sea.

Seafood devotees won’t be disappointed. The Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, golden and perfectly pan-fried, come paired with a zesty classic remoulade sauce that brightens every bite. Fresh Atlantic Salmon and versatile Sea Scallops—available broiled, fried, or pan-seared—exemplify premium freshness and deft preparation. The Kreis’ Seafood Platter, an indulgent ensemble of lobster tail, shrimp, scallops, and salmon, promises a luxurious oceanic journey on a plate.

Complementing these protean plates are thoughtfully crafted sides and salads, such as the creamy, velvety Creamed Spinach and the crisp Kreis’ Caesar Salad featuring freshly shaved Parmesan and signature dressing. For a lighter touch, the Greek Salad bursts with garden-fresh ingredients and Mediterranean flair, delivering a refreshing counterbalance to the robust main courses.

The dining atmosphere elevates the overall experience. Guests often praise the impeccable service and attentive staff who seamlessly cater to every detail, from timely water refills to expertly mixed cocktails, including a range of Old Fashioneds that showcase the bar’s sophisticated edge. Whether arriving for a celebratory gathering or an intimate meal, patrons find the ambiance polished yet inviting, fostering a sense of occasion that enhances the savor of every bite.

On the sweeter side, Kreis’ family recipe Warm Apple Strudel offers a nostalgic, comforting finish steeped in tradition, while the homemade Amaretto Cheesecake delivers a creamy, subtly boozy indulgence. Though dessert experiences may vary, these treats underscore the kitchen’s commitment to house-made quality and classic flavors.

From the glowing accolades of customers like Triad Precision Landscaping, who hailed the filet mignon as “easily one of the best I’ve ever had,” to Robert Schmitt’s playful yet sincere praise for the legendary King Cut prime rib, Kreis' Steakhouse & Bar consistently delights with its blend of culinary excellence and warm hospitality.

Had a really nice meal at this steakhouse. As seems to be the going rate in St. Louis, their steaks range from $50ish through $70ish and up. I actually had the Vienna Schnitzel. I thought it was really excellent. Oh and they use veal not pork. It came with a large portion of perfectly cooked broccoli. The service and atmosphere were impeccable. My one disappointment was the dessert. The apple pie was recommended to me because it was made in house. While the apples were cooked to perfection, someone really needs to teach the patissier how to make the crust. That bit needed work. Anyway this restaurant is certainly an excellent place for a high-class, romantic meal. I will go again.

Absolutely outstanding experience at Kreis Steakhouse! The filet mignon was cooked to perfection; tender, flavorful, and easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The customer service was second to none; the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. From start to finish, a truly fabulous dining experience. Highly recommend!

I attended a going away dinner here for a friend. We had a reservation and got seated early. Service was very attentive. Anytime our water needed a refill it happened. We also had great drink service and tried a few different old fashions with different whiskies. We ordered appetizers, main course, and dessert. All of which were freshly prepared sans ready to devour. The meats were cooked perfectly to ordered temperature. The prime rib was fantastic and what the restaurant is known for. As it was my first time there I wanted to try the prime rib.

My review will first be mine and then overall. I ordered what I imagine is the worst thing you could ask those cooks to make. Lol A well-done burger. And they made sure to burn the exterior so well it was charred on all sides that it had a crunch. I could feel the kitchen loathing my order from the table. The absolute lack of care was just so profound that I was hungry enough to eat it and just shut up vs just asking for my money back, to have it taken back, because as a cook myself with many allergies I knew better than ask for a redo from kitchen that refused to put pride in an order they disliked. The bun was absolutely lower standard than a rallys/McDonald's bun. It fell apart as I was eating it. I ultimately used the free bread for the table instead, abandoning the bun itself. The ratio of burger to bun was nearly 50% of the radius. Now onto the others at my table, they allowed me to try what I could from their plates. -Prime Rib, was cooked to perfection but the flavor really came from the Ajus. The sauce made it sing. -I didn't taste it, but my Mother also got a burger but medium rare. Her notes was that it was juicy. Overall the other 3 ladies loved their crab cakes, oysters and Steak Medallions.

Legendary prime rib. Got the King Cut and it was definitely worth it. (Guess I'll take the bone home to my dog )

Classy and elegant. My first visit there, but a regular favorite of the family. As expected it was very busy on a Saturday evening. Reservation is pretty much required. We reserved a week in advance-online made it wasy. Wide range of attire was seen. The food was high quality & excellent. One of the filets was too rare, and the waiter promptly returned to the kitchen for more cook time. It was returned a perfect med rare. We could not have asked for better service. Victor was prompt and attentive. Salad, garlic shrimp, twice baked potato all delicious, although I wouldn't choose the potato pancakes again. Divine desserts, including key lime pie and a complimentary "sparkling" cheesecake for a birthday!

Absolutely delicious. The prime rib was perfect and the mashed potatoes were so smooth and rich. The filet mignon was amazing. The bread and carrot cake was also fantastic!
